I helped to produce a book with a number of stories adapted from a refugee community. The book is finished and it looks great; I'm so happy with it. However, now I want to turn the stories into educational materials with questions and activities to accompany them.
There are two stories: 'Dinesh' and 'Moe Moe Kai'. Both stories have been adapted from the real life accounts of refugees living in Malaysia. The stories have been adapted from the original story, but do remain faithful to the original. Some artistic licence has been taken, though.
In the spirit of sharing I've uploaded some of the stories (below). They are in the form of a PDF so you can simply download them. As Wiley (2013) stated, the materials are:
- Free to access
- Free to reuse
- Free to revise
- Free to remix
- Free to distribute.
The stories are now yours! I would love to know what you do with them. If you remix them, revise, or simple make activities out of them, please let me know, as I will upload them to the book's website for others to use and enjoy.
I hope some of you will be saying "challenge accepted", so I look forward to your replies.
